The adidas Dame 8 Young Dolla represents another innovative collaboration between N.B.A. star and rapper Damian Lillard and the iconic sneaker company. Young D.O.L.L.A. refers to Lillard's rapper name, Different On Levels the Lord Allowed. This vibrant sneaker features an upper with a tightly woven bright sky-blue textile base covered with tonal netting. Synthetic overlays at the toe, midfoot, eyestays, and heel support this basketball sneaker heralded for its side-to-side stability. Extra padding in the heel and a thin layer of padding on the tongue help give this sneaker a cozy feel that hugs your foot. The cyan foam midsole offers cushioning, bounce, and energy return on the court and off. The durable outsole ideal for play on outdoor courts has a wavy modified herringbone traction pattern and vents that offer a high degree of flexibility. What we delight in most about this collaboration sneaker is the dual branding. Three stripes of the signature adidas side panel appear in metallic silver, and D.O.L.L.A. branding hits a darker blue license plate at the heel. The adidas Dame 8 Young Dolla debuted on July 7, 2022, for $120 retail.
