The Jordan 9 Retro Boot Green Abyss harkens back to a silhouette first introduced in 1993 when Michael Jordan announced that he would be retiring from basketball. This more modern release pops with a vibrant colorway. The Green Abyss colorway of the Jordan 9 Retro Boot has an upper with a base of gray nubuck leather with a durable texture and a waterproof treatment. A bluish-green or green abyss leather mudguard surrounds the shoe and works its way up the heel, which sports a gray leather Jumpman patch. Green abyss work boot-style laces thread through dark metallic D-ring eyelets and close over a padded green abyss tongue. The tongue liner and padded sock liner are deep purple, matching the foam midsole that features tooth-like projections that sneak onto the upper at the forefoot. What we delight in the most with this rugged sneaker are the hits of bright orange at the heel tab, tongue tag, outsole, and Jumpman logo at the outer heel. The Jordan 9 Retro Boot Green Abyss was released on October 13, 2018, for $225 retail.
