At first glance, the Nike Air Force 1 React Black Anthracite might look like many of the Air Force 1 sneakers that came before it. But there were a few things that separated this AF1 from others like it. For starters, this sneaker had a leather upper that was broken up by mesh panels that aren't traditionally found in the Nike Air Force 1. It also had oversized Swooshes on the sides that were noticeably larger than the Swooshes that are typically used on the AF1. But the biggest difference between this Air Force 1 and other AF1s was that it had React technology in the sole that made it feel softer and spongier than what our experts have come to expect from the Nike AF1. It was a welcomed surprise that made this AF1 feel more comfortable than usual. The Nike Air Force 1 React Black Anthracite was released on July 1, 2020, and it originally retailed for $120.
