The adidas NMD G1 The Simpsons Homer Simpson represents a collaboration between the iconic running shoe silhouette and the world-famous character from the renowned animated television series. The adidas NMD G1 x The Simpsons Homer Simpson features an upper with a base of tightly woven, breathable, bright yellow textile. Overlays of smooth yellow leather adorn the eyestays and toe cap, while a textured leather overlay forms the heel counter. The side panel three stripes and heel underlay are constructed of soft brown suede, while hints of blue reminiscent of Homer's pants accent the mudguard and collar. The white midsole is made of energy-returning Boost that is enhanced with black EVA inserts. The tan and black rubber outsole is grooved for traction and vented for Boost expansion. What we enjoy most about this colorful sneaker are the distinctly Homer Simpson touches. His head peeks out from one of the stripes on one side, and his hand holds a remote control on the other. Each tongue features his catchphrases, "D’OH" and "WOO HOO." The adidas NMD G1 The Simpsons Homer Simpson was released on November 11, 2023, for $120 retail.
