Designed in collaboration with pro skater Maite Steenhoudt, the adidas Samba ADV is a performance-tuned update to the 1960s indoor icon, prioritizing both style and superior board feel. Rendered in a high-contrast Core Black/Cloud White-Core Black palette, the shoe features a premium leather upper reinforced with higher foxing tape and a geoflex rubber outsole for superior flexibility and durability. Released on March 16, 2021, for $80, it maintains the signature T-toe and serrated Three Stripes. We think the "thought partner" storytelling successfully honors Maite’s rebellious spirit and impact on modern skateboarding. Our experts love the specialized branding on the tongue and the hidden "hidden" details; it’s a durable performance tool that successfully bridges the gap between heritage athletic DNA and contemporary, creative skate culture, resulted in a design that is both technically superior and stylistically unique for the modern skater.
