The adidas Ultra Boost 5.0 DNA Shadow Navy is a running shoe that also offers non-stop comfort for everyday wear. The Shadow Navy colorway of the adidas Ultra Boost 5.0 DNA sports a lightweight, breathable upper of Primeknit in shades of navy and cornflower blue. A navy side-panel TPU cage and heel counter add style and structural support to this sneaker. Brighter blue TPU forms the signature adidas three stripes on the side panel. Ultra Boost branding is embossed on the lateral heel, and adidas branding in orange adorns the tongue. The midsole is made from white Boost to provide cushioning and springy energy return, and the heel and forefoot of the midsole are connected by an orange TPU torsion system to provide midfoot support. The navy blue rubber outsole is vented for Boost expansion and lugged for traction and impact absorption. What we appreciate most about this running shoe is the environmental conscientiousness that went into its creation. The Primeknit upper is created from 50% Parley Ocean Plastic and 50% recycled polyester. The adidas Ultra Boost 5.0 DNA Shadow Navy was released on July 4, 2022, for $190 retail.
