It has been more than 50 years since the first Datsun 240Z was released, but it remains a fan favorite among car enthusiasts. Mattel helped celebrate the iconic vehicle with the Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive Custom 72 Datsun 240Z. The first thing that immediately stood out about this Hot Wheels car was the color scheme that was used to create it. It featured Spectraflame Shadowchrome and matte black paint on it, along with Brock Racing Enterprises (BRE) livery graphics. But our favorite thing about the Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive Custom 72 Datsun 240Z was that it included so many small details that put it over the top. From its hood that could be opened and closed and its intricately designed engine to its lightly tinted windows and its Real Riders 5-spoke modern wheels, it was clear that Mattel spared no expense when bringing this ride to life. The Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive Custom 72 Datsun 240Z was released on April 18, 2023, when it retailed for $30.
