The Camo Reebok Kamikaze II combines one of the most memorable sneaker designs of the 90s with the classic brown and green camouflage that has become a staple in streetwear fashion. The Kamikaze II was a defining design of the 90s with its attention grabbing, alternating color combination on the upper but this variation flips the script and takes a militaristic approach. Reebok’s intention with the Kamikaze line was to make a sneaker that was easily recognizable from a distance and it’s safe to say they were successful but with modern trends and countless colorways, the Camo Kamikaze II features a black upper and camo accents that is more apt to blend in on the streets than stand out. Made famous by Seattle Supersonics legend, Shawn Kemp, the Kamikaze II originally released in late 1995. The Reign Man, as Kemp was nicknamed, was one of the most prolific dunkers of the day despite never winning an NBA Slam Dunk title. As his signature sneaker, the Kamikaze will forever be associated with the memories of Seattle’s high-flying dunker. The Reebok Kamikaze II was one of the iconic sneakers of the 90s thanks to Hexalite cushioning and the zig-zag like pattern on the side.
