Originally released in February 2009, Demon’s Souls was the first game in the now iconic Souls series from Japanese developer FromSoftware. Renowned for its beautifully crafted world design and difficulty, the Souls series’ first title is where a cult classic in the gaming community was formed. Demon’s Souls received a full remake in 2020 for the PlayStation 5 in November 2020. The Demon’s Souls remake included new weapons, armor, and was optimized for the next gen console. While the 2009 version of Demon’s Souls is still a classic, the updated graphics, smooth gameplay, and optimization of the game was a welcome addition to fans of the original. The Demon’s Souls remake was released in November 2020 for a retail price of $70.
