Jordan 1 OG Celtics

Imagine being a rival of Michael Jordan playing for Boston and then having him make the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Celtics in 2013. It would be like having salt poured on a wound 25+ years later. Then again, what Celtics fan wouldn’t want a white and green Jordan 1 to wear with their Celtics jersey? MJ and Jordan Brand have made it a point to use his rivals and the defining moments in his career as inspiration for Jordan retro colorways. In 2013, the AJ1 Celtics version released in "OG" form, meaning it had the ever-popular Nike Air branding on the tongue and insoles. Unlike the Celtics inspired colorway from the DMP Pack a few years before, this Celtics Air Jordan 1 featured gold with the traditional Boston green and white colors. The official colors of this St. Patrick’s Day appropriate color scheme are Clover/Metallic Gold-White-Black and it features a unique texture over the green overlay panels, which contrast nicely with the gold Wings logo and lining, as well as with the gum-like gold outsole. Even with the storytelling aspect of Jordan’s 63 points against the Celtics back in 1986, the 2013 Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Celtics didn’t fly off the shelves when it released but then, sometimes those are the sleepers that become more sought after in time.
