The base of the Navy Castlerock New Balance 2002R features mesh in Castlerock with layers of premium leather and shaggy suede overlays in navy, Castlerock, and a darker-gray hue. The shaggy suede gives the sneaker a more rugged look than can be achieved with traditional suede. Although the padded tongue is crafted from mesh in Castelrock, the laces come in an off-white tone that matches the midsole.
