The royal purple/black-gray New Balance 997 Barf combines a heritage NB silhouette with a colorway that echoes the 2003 "Barf" Nike skateboarding shoe. The New Balance 997 Barf has a synthetic gray upper with a purple suede mudguard, toe box, and heel. Black suede and blue leather overlays along with a brown CR heel device and maroon and gray N branding complete the dark look of the upper. The black tongue sports New Balance/Made in USA branding. The gray ENCAP midsole sits atop a natural ground-contact EVA outsole with rubber pods. The New Balance 997 Barf was released on November 18, 2019, for $220 retail.
