Nike Air Force 1

The Air Force 1 is Nike's basketball shoe from 1982, designed by Bruce Kilgore, the first to carry Nike Air cushioning. Kilgore took the lowered heel from the Approach hiking boot. The shoe crossed into everyday wear from 1985; three Baltimore retailers reordered it in royal blue and chocolate brown and sold all 3,000 pairs, the story Nike returns to with its Colour of the Month releases. It is made as a low, a mid and a high.

Sizing: Nike's fit guide says the Air Force 1 runs big because of the roomy toe box and recommends half a size smaller than your usual Nike size; wide feet can keep their size. This hub gathers Air Force 1 products not filed under Low: mids, highs, women's and kids' versions.
