PUMA Suede

The PUMA Suede was launched in 1968, before the Olympic Games in Mexico City, under the name Crack, as PUMA's first shoe made for the street rather than the track. A black and white pair was worn by Tommie Smith and other athletes on the podium at those Games. In 1971 PUMA signed Walt Clyde Frazier, whose version of the shoe came in a new colour for every game, over 390 colours by PUMA's count; in the 1980s the New York City Breakers and the Rock Steady Crew adopted the Suede as their shoe.

For its fiftieth anniversary in 2018 PUMA issued more than 37 special editions. The shoe is sold as a unisex style in men's sizes. This hub lists every Suede colourway from the shops we track, with sizes in stock and the checked date.
