Timberland 6 Inch

The Timberland boot dates from 1973, made by Nathan Swartz, a shoemaker who had bought the Abington Shoe Company in Boston in 1955, and his son Sidney. Their first version was an 8-inch boot; the 6-inch that followed is the one sold today. It was built with injection moulding and silicone-treated nubuck leather, to make a work boot that kept water out. The yellow nubuck colour gave it the name the yellow boot, and the company renamed itself Timberland after it in 1978.

The current Premium 6-Inch keeps the seam-sealed waterproof build with 400 grams of PrimaLoft insulation, and the 2025 Heritage 6-Inch came in Black Smooth and Olive Nubuck. This hub lists every 6-inch Timberland from the shops we track, with sizes in stock and the checked date.
