adidas Handball Spezial Cardboard

Continuing the run on popular terrace trainers the Adidas Handball Spezial Cardboard is another simple but effective design looking to capitalise on this constantly growing trend. Decked out in a single-tone colour palette, this particular colourway boasts a light brown suede base that Adidas is calling ‘Cardboard’ that is matched perfectly with the same colour on the premium leather elements that can be found on the brand staple sidewall 3-stripes and heel tabs. Even the “Spezial” print embellishing the lateral side comes in the same shade of cardboard grey with the only visual intrigue coming from how each material and texture reacts with the shade itself. Finishing the look a dark gum rubber sole gives off a vintage vibe and some much-needed contrast that wouldn’t be out of place in 1979 when the Handball Spezial originally debuted.
