The adidas Superstar emerged as a hardwood icon in 1969, created as a performance basketball style by Horst Dassler. In the 1980s, the shoe took on new life as a fashion staple, popularized by the era's hip hop icons. This take on the adidas Superstar 80s design dresses the shoe in luxurious suede and smooth leather. The shoe is immediately recognizable for its rubber shell toe design—a classic feature of the Superstar.
