The Anta Kai 1 Garden State dresses NBA player Kyrie Irving’s inaugural basketball shoe with Anta in a soft Sage color scheme and a design that pays tribute to New York, the athlete’s home state, and New Jersey, "the Garden State." While "the Garden State" usually brings to mind New Jersey's agricultural heritage, this Anta Kai 1 sneaker applies a literal plant pattern to the majority of the upper. Crafted from ultra-lightweight mesh with TPU supports, the upper features a translucent material that covers the flora-inspired pattern. The Garden State Anta Kai 1 features two closures: traditional laces and a shoe strap. Displaying Kyrie Irving’s branding, the shoe strap also comes in Sage and features lines that mimic a leaf's veins. The Anta Kai 1 Garden State was released on July 20, 2024, and sold for $125.
