The Bearbrick Alan Smithee Film Light Up 400% figure pays tribute to films that have been disowned by their director. The pseudonym, Alan Smithee was coined in the late 1960s and has since been used by directors who want to distance themselves from a project they have headed. This 11-inch Bearbrick sports a rainbow-inspired gradient pattern, with a light inside its chest that illuminates the mid-section of the figure. The front features the letters UFO spelled out in American Sign Language and the words "Alan Smithee Film" printed on its back. The Bearbrick Alan Smithee Film Light Up 400% was released late in 2021 for a retail price of $200.
