The upper of the University Red Luka 1 Jordan is bright red mesh with Flywire fused to the upper to give the shoe structure and to give your foot support. The inner bootie system and the non-tying laces enhance the snug fit. The heel loop makes slipping this shoe on and off quick and easy, and the red insoles with tonal Luka branding continue the colorway throughout. The only hit of non-red on this upper is the gold Luka branding on the tongue. You can find a total Jumpman logo in miniature on the bottom of the eye stays. What we are most impressed with about this shoe is the innovative sole unit. The midsole is full-length Formula 23 foam designed to respond and react with a zigzag IsoPlate shank to help stabilize the foot.
