The Nike Air Max 97 SE Pure Platinum Sail sports a design inspired by water. This classic silhouette delivers signature dependability with each stride and stylish elegance with every step. This Special Edition Air Max 97 features an upper of pale gray textile. The undulating mudguard overlay is tumbled pale gray leather and features a cut-out side-panel window with an embroidered gray Nike Swoosh. Above this mud guard, strips of undulating leather in shades of gray, white, and icy gray-blue course across the upper. Cream-colored rope laces cross over a pale gray mesh tongue, and a cream-colored padded sock liner surrounds a pale gray insole with a cream-colored Nike Swoosh. The Sail-colored foam midsole provides cushioning and springy energy return, and the matching rubber outsole features lugs and grooves for traction and impact absorption. Our favorite aspect of this sneaker is the design of the full-length visible Air unit in the midsole. A line through the middle of this Air bubble makes this Air unit look as though it is water with a reflection.
