Nike Air Trainer 1 SB Huf Gold Digger

Designed in partnership with HUF, the Nike Air Trainer 1 SB ‘Gold Digger’ launched in 2005 as the follow-up to the creative partners’ iconic tie-dye Dunk. Whereas that shoe celebrated San Francisco’s hippie movement during 1967’s Summer of Love, this pair goes back even further, finding inspiration in the California Gold Rush of 1848. The retro trainer makes use of a brown leather upper with contrasting accents in red and orange. Around the collar and toe box, open brown mesh reveals a shiny underlay in metallic gold. The lateral heel is marked with an embroidered graphic that combines ‘SF’ with a crossed pickaxe and shovel.
