Small on tech but big on nostalgia, the Blazer Mid Basic enhances the classic look of Nike's first basketball shoe with pinstripe detailing on a durable textile upper. After rebranding with a new name and logo in 1972, the company set out to disrupt more sports with its innovative footwear. Inspired by the exploits of the local Portland NBA franchise, Nike engineers named their first hoops shoe the 'Blazer,' and the rest is basketball legend.
