Nike Dunk Low Paris YMCA Old Court (Elemental Gold)

The Springfield, MA gymnasium where Dr. James Naismith invented basketball in 1891 no longer exists, leaving the title of the world’s oldest court to the Trévise gym in Paris, France. Opened in 1893, the Trévise gym is seen as the sport’s gateway into Europe. Its significance is commemorated in a plaque, an inscription replicated on the tongue of this unique Dunk Low. In June 2018, Nike released the Dunk Low PRM QS Paris ‘Elemental Gold’ featuring herringbone detailing and the eponymous coloring, both of which allude to Trévise’s parquet flooring. White stitches line the Swoosh, a reference to the era’s leather basketballs.
