The Nike Lebron 9 Big Bang AS is a special edition of the original LeBron 9 basketball sneaker released as part of the 2012 All Star Weekend. The name Bing Bang takes inspiration from its vibrant and space-themed design, reminiscent of a cosmic explosion. The shoe’s upper is constructed using a combination of materials that include textile and synthetic overlays and features galaxy-themed graphic detailing giving the shoe a unique and space-inspired look. It has a predominantly orange color scheme with metallic silver accents adding a touch of contrast. As for branding details, the Nike LeBron 9s have a NASA-inspired mission patch on the tongue as well as LeBron’s signature logo in the heel tab. Our favorite thing about the Nike Lebron 9 Big Bang AS is the cushioning technologies. The shoes have a visible air unit in the heel and Zoom Air Technology in the forefoot to provide responsive cushioning allowing quick and explosive movements on the court. The shoes were released for retail priced at $170 in February 2012.
