The Nike Zoom Freak 2 Taxi is a basketball shoe designed in collaboration with NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo as part of the second installment of his signature ‘Freak’ line. The shoe’s upper has black as the predominant color which is complemented by grey and orange accents, adding a touch of color and contrast effect to the overall aesthetic. It is constructed using a combination of synthetic leather and mesh while the outsole features a rubber construction for durability and improved traction. The Zoom Freak 2 also includes signature details like his jersey number ‘34’ on the heel tab and his logo on the lateral heel. One of the stand-out features of the Nike Zoom Freak 2 Taxi is the Zoom Air cushioning technology. Located in the forefoot, this Air unit works with the lightweight foam heel to provide responsive cushioning and impact protection while maintaining a court feel. The shoes were initially released for retail priced at $120 in February 2021.
