Measure foot length

  1. Tape a sheet of paper to a hard, flat floor. Stand with one foot on it and keep your weight evenly balanced.
  2. Mark the tip of your big toe and the farthest point of your heel, then measure between the marks with a ruler.
  3. Repeat for the other foot. Compare the longer measurement with the shoe maker's own foot-length guide.
