In the early 00s, the A Bathing Ape Bapesta FS-001 Low redefined Japanese streetwear by subverting an American icon from basketball culture, the Nike Air Force 1. This iteration of the sneaker is designed with a burgundy patent leather upper, yellow toe and contrast midfoot panels. Custom branding is placed on the heel and tongue, while the recognizable shooting star adorns the sides. The shoe sits atop a tricolor rubber cupsole.
