Thrasher Magazine July 1997 Issue

Launched in 1981, Thrasher is a singular force in skateboarding. Beginning as a magazine, the publication expanded into a range of mediums, including video, event sponsorship, merchandising and apparel. The July 1997 issue of the magazine serves as a time capsule of skateboarding culture as it exploded from the underground and into public consciousness throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Inside the issue, editorial features include a story by Mark Gonzales, an interview with Tim McKenney and a tour diary chronicling a skate trip through Indonesia.
