About this product
Tartan oil green is the colour on the men's Vans Authentic. Tartan is a checked pattern of crossing bands, and oil green is a muted green with a grey cast, so the check tends to look subdued rather than neon. Canvas usually holds a check clearly because the cloth face is flat and even. The upper is canvas, a plain woven cloth with a matte, dry feel. The outsole is rubber in a waffle form, a grid of rubber shapes. The Authentic is from 1966.
