In 1977, the Old Skool, originally known as ‘Style 36,’ was the first Vans shoe to display the sidestripe, a trademark design sketched by founder Paul Van Doren. Pulling details from the original and reconstructing them for the elements, the Old Skool MTE sports a suede upper treated with a water-repellant Tec Tuff finish. A warm flannel lining and a snow boot-inspired vulcanized lug outsole add cold-weather comfort and durability.
