BAPE Ape Head

The Ape Head is the logo of A Bathing Ape, the Tokyo brand founded in Harajuku on 1 April 1993. BAPE lists it first among its signatures, ahead of BAPE Camo, the Bape Sta, the Shark Hoodie and Baby Milo, and says the 1st Camo pattern of 1996 was built by working the Ape Head into a hunting camouflage. Gradation Ape Head pieces, the logo printed in a colour fade, have continued since the brand's early days according to BAPE's legacy page.
