Vans Classic Slip-On Pringle of Scotland pairs argyle with a reported fuzzy upper

· By Redacción HYPEIBIZA

The Navy Olive Burgundy Slip-On has a reported knitwear-inspired argyle upper. Listings split its expected release between 10 and 11 November 2026.

Pringle of Scotland’s reported Vans collaboration puts the Classic Slip-On alongside the lace-up Authentic and high-top Sk8-Hi. Two Slip-Ons bring the collection to four pairs, making the laceless model the only silhouette with both colour combinations.

Argyle in navy, olive and burgundy

Reports say the upper has a fuzzy, wool-like surface with argyle diamonds. That supports the knitwear reference, but a wool-like appearance isn't confirmation of wool content.

Argyle is a diamond pattern long associated with Pringle of Scotland’s knitwear. Unlike the square checks familiar from Vans checkerboard shoes, it uses elongated diamonds, often crossed by fine diagonal lines.

Reports place navy, green and red on this Slip-On and the Sk8-Hi. A lighter white, black and tan combination reportedly connects the Authentic with the second Slip-On, offering the same palette on a lace-up and laceless shoe.

The Classic Slip-On dates to 1977, when Vans introduced it as Style 98. Its broad front panel has since carried everything from checkerboard prints to collaboration graphics, giving patterns room without laces crossing the centre.

The model also reached a wider audience through the 1982 film Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Sean Penn’s character, Jeff Spicoli, wore checkerboard Slip-Ons, helping tie the shoe to California skate and youth culture.

For this pair, the exact colourway name is Pringle of Scotland Navy Olive Burgundy, with reference VN000E96FRP. Black Marshmallow is the other Pringle of Scotland Classic Slip-On colourway, a separate option from this navy, olive and burgundy pair.

The launch day remains unresolved

Retailer listings split the expected launch between 10 and 11 November 2026, so the day remains unresolved. The 10 November date attached to Navy Olive Burgundy is a listing date, rather than a settled launch day.

The collection is reportedly expected through Vans and selected retailers. That reported distribution covers the four-pair collaboration, including both Slip-Ons, the Authentic and the Sk8-Hi.
