A labelled EU 39 is not the same US size for men and women. Men's EU 39 is UK 6 and US 7. Women's EU 39 is UK 6 and US 8.5.

UK stays with the same EU label on both charts. Men's US is one full size above that UK number. Women's US is two and a half sizes above the UK number.
Men's EU 42 is UK 8 and US 9. Women's EU 42 is UK 8 and US 10.5. If a box only shows US, those two 42s are not the same size label.
Men's EU 40 is UK 6.5 and US 7.5. Women's EU 40 is UK 6.5 and US 9. Read the column for an adult pair or a women's pair before you look for it.
