Reports point to a 16 October 2026 release for the PUMA MB.06 “Hills”, carrying style code 313623-01. The shoe comes in Cool Mid Gray and Lime Smash, bringing LaMelo Ball's sixth signature model back to his school years in California.

The Chino Hills reference

The “Hills” name refers to Chino Hills High School, where LaMelo Ball played alongside brothers Lonzo and LiAngelo. That squad went 35–0 and won a state championship in 2016.

Ball stayed at the school for the following season, scoring 92 points in a single game in February 2017. That individual performance pushed his profile further into the national spotlight.

PUMA previously explored that chapter on the MB.03 “Chino Hills”. That earlier edition paired a light grey base with bright green hits, setting a colour direction this MB.06 now reprises.

The callback is specific to Ball’s school career, rather than a general tribute to California basketball. The team’s unbeaten season and title give the colourway a shared team reference, while his later scoring record adds a personal moment from the same school chapter.

The MB.06 sits within Ball’s numbered signature line, and “Hills” gives this colourway its own story inside that series. The earlier MB.03 connection also makes the grey-and-green pairing a return to a school theme already used on one of his signature shoes.

Textured grey mesh and lime details

Cool Mid Gray covers the mesh upper, which carries raised sections with a pronounced cobblestone look. Lime Smash adds neon contrast across Ball’s signature branding and smaller accents across the shoe.

Muted grey handles most of the surface area, leaving the neon lime for focal points. This setup pairs an understated base with sharp, luminous branding marks.

The mesh and raised textures give the upper a layered look without changing the main colour balance: grey stays dominant and lime remains the accent. That makes the branding easy to pick out against the larger, quieter panels.

Midsole build, sidewall support and traction

Underfoot, the shoe uses a responsive drop-in midsole built for a low-to-the-ground court feel. The cushioning sits directly inside the chassis to keep foot position low during play.

Supportive sidewalls reinforce lateral containment on hard cuts. They help maintain stability during defensive slides and sudden directional shifts on hardwood floors.

Rubber traction comes by way of an abrasion-resistant tread pattern. That finish aims to withstand surface friction across repetitive pivots, sprints and stops.

Together, those listed elements address three separate parts of court use: cushioning underfoot, support at the sides and contact with the floor. They are practical details to compare with another basketball shoe, but personal comfort and grip still depend on the player and playing surface.

The low-to-the-ground description is especially relevant to buyers who prefer a close court feel. The drop-in setup and sidewalls are listed features of this pair; they describe its intended performance focus without promising the same fit or feel for everyone.

Reported release timing and channels

Reports list a 16 October 2026 launch date for the pair. The date and distribution through PUMA’s online store and selected basketball stockists are reported details rather than a confirmed brand announcement.

Because the reported date has passed, check live inventory directly with stockists. Searching style code 313623-01 helps confirm you have the exact grey-and-lime colourway.

The code is useful when comparing listings that shorten the name to MB.06 or Hills. Match it with the Cool Mid Gray/Lime Smash colour description before buying, so another MB.06 colourway is not mistaken for this school-themed version.
