Salomon’s unisex XT-Whisper Gore-Tex L49192300 is Gray Violet, Black and Footwear Silver. The upper uses a GORE-TEX membrane. Shops expect it on 7 November 2026.
Weatherproof upper and the three-tone colour
The upper on this code mixes ripstop fabric with synthetic panels. A textile lining sits inside. The listed material split is 30% rubber and 70% synthetic and textile.
GORE-TEX is the waterproof membrane in this upper, paired with that textile lining. Ripstop and synthetic panels make the outside of the same build. The rubber share belongs to the sole, not to the fabric.
The fuller colour line is Gray Violet, Black and Footwear Silver. Footwear Silver is the metallic name in that set. A shorter shop line calls the same shoe gray and silver.
Mud Contagrip is the rubber outsole, cut with a chevron pattern. The toe cap sits on the front of the upper. The lugs are under the foot, and the cap covers the toes.
Lacing, chassis and the insole

A women’s trail model adapted for the city
Salomon launched the XT-Whisper in 2009 as its first trail shoe designed for women. The model later shifted toward city wear, with a softer shape than a race shoe. This Gore-Tex version is sold as unisex.
In the XT family, the XT-6 is the higher, more padded shoe that crossed into streetwear. The Whisper keeps a lower profile in that family. A Gore-Tex Whisper is still a light walking shoe with a trail sole, not a high boot.
The 2009 shoe was built for women’s trail. The city shift kept the trail sole and the QuickLACE cord, then used an easier day-to-day shape. On this pair that mix is the GORE-TEX upper plus Mud Contagrip, sold for men and women.
Other XT-Whisper colourways listed through 2026 include Gore-Tex Iron, Expedition, Black Silver and Grisaille Dark Navy. Those four carry October listing dates. Vanilla Ice variants and Void were listed in July, and Nostalgia in June.
Iron is a Gore-Tex mix of shadow gray, black and olive. Black Silver is the darker Gore-Tex sibling. This pair uses Gray Violet with Black and Footwear Silver instead.
