adidas ZX

ZX is the adidas running series that began with the ZX 500 in 1984. The ZX 8000 of 1989 was the first shoe in the series with the Torsion system, the bar under the midfoot that lets the forefoot and heel move separately; adidas's timeline lists it as the Torsion ZX 8000 C. The numbering continued through the 1980s and 1990s and returned with the ZX 2K Boost in July 2020, a tongue-free step-in shoe on a Boost midsole in Solar Yellow/Hi-Res Red and Purple Tint/Maroon.

adidas has since made a ZX 8000 with Lego, launched in September 2020, a ZX 8000 golf shoe in aqua and yellow, and two ZX models with Kawasaki in 2022. This hub lists every ZX shoe from the shops we track, with sizes in stock and the checked date.
