About this product
Synthetic material forms the upper of the Birkenstock Madrid sandal for women. It tends to look even, with little natural grain, and it wipes clean more readily than untreated leather. The sole is EVA, a light foam of ethylene-vinyl acetate. Leather lines the inside, with the slight variation typical of hide. EVA stays light in the hand.
