Trackside Half Zip comes from New Balance as a sweatshirt, then black and grey make up the colour. The knit is 60% cotton and 40% polyester, a blend that tends to feel softer than polyester alone and a little sturdier than plain cotton. A zip is the closure. Cotton in that mix can show light pilling, while polyester helps the cloth keep its outline.
