The Nike Air Max Genome Black takes an aesthetic from the early 2000s and reconstructs it with a minimum of 20% recycled material weight-wise. The Black Nike Air Max Genome features an upper of smooth synthetic panels that sport perforations on the quarter panel, toe cap, heel counter, and padded collar. Black mesh appears on the toe box, the tongue, the sock liner, and the heel. Air Max branding adorns the heel counter and the heel pull tab that facilitates on/off. A black synthetic Nike swoosh courses across the side panel, covering a TPU cage that offers style and midfoot support. A black rubber outsole with grooves, pods, and lugs provides impact absorption and traction. The aspect of this sneaker that we most enjoy is the sole unit designed for ultimate cushioning. A black foam midsole with a debossed Nike swoosh houses visible Max Air along the length of the shoe. The Nike Air Max Genome Black was released on June 14, 2021, for $170 retail.
