The Nike Zoom Freak 2 Alphabet is a basketball shoe designed in collaboration with basketball star, Giannis Antetokounmpo. The upper of the Zoom Freak 2 Alphabet is made from a lightweight mesh material that provides breathability and allows for free movement of the foot without sacrificing stability. It comes in a Desert Sand colorway with Sail, Camellia, and Gym Red accents. The outsole features a multi-directional traction pattern that provides grip on the court. The Zoom Air units in the forefoot and heel provide responsive cushioning. The shoe also has a padded tongue and collar, which both provide additional support and comfort, while the lace-up design ensures a secure fit. We think that the key feature of the Nike Zoom Freak 2 Alphabet is the colorful, alphabet letters on the upper of the shoe. The unique design reflects the player's personal story and is a tribute to his Nigerian heritage and upbringing in Greece, where he faced language barriers as a child. The sneaker was released on January 22nd, 2021, at a list price of $120.
