The GORE-TEX membrane addition to the XT-6 platform specifically uses a PFC-free ePE membrane construction, Salomon's environmentally updated approach to waterproofing that removes perfluorocarbon chemicals while maintaining the waterproof breathability that the GORE-TEX standard requires across variable weather conditions.
