About this product
The Sk8 silhouette, originally designed by Paul Van Doren, provides the starting point for the Vans Sk8-Hi 'Checkerboard'. This men's shoe combines Black and True White with a checkerboard motif, bringing graphic contrast to a palette of two neutral colours. Leather and textile share the upper, pairing different material textures rather than relying on a single surface. A textile lining, lace closure and rubber sole complete the construction. Black and white checks can sit against plain denim or solid-colour trousers without introducing another pattern. Grey and cream offer quieter clothing combinations, while a stronger colour can provide contrast without needing to match either shade exactly.
