About this product
The upper of the Timberland Britton Mills boot is leather. Leather is animal hide prepared for footwear, and that prepared hide is the material of this upper. Animal hide comes from skin and is tanned before a boot upper is cut from it. Tanning changes skin into a stable leather that can be used for footwear. The boot is black. Laces close the opening, cords pulled to fasten it. The sole is plastic. The lining is textile, cloth set inside the boot. The Britton Mills boot is waterproof. In footwear, plastic soles and cloth linings commonly accompany a leather upper.
