About this product
The upper is leather, a tanned hide with a tight grain and a smooth face that creases where it bends and wipes clean with a cloth. Over time the surface loses a little shine and keeps those lines. As a material it is denser than thin cloth and can take a light polish when conditioned. Vans makes the LX Style 152 in purple for unisex wear, closed with laces. The sole is abrasion-proof rubber, meant to resist scraping against the ground. Leather lines the shoe as well, so the interior is hide rather than textile.
