Air Jordan 3: the codes behind each colourway, and the pairs a shop actually has
One colourway of the Air Jordan 3 can exist in four size runs at once, each on its own style code. Reading the code tells you which grade is in the box before you open the listing.
The Air Jordan 3 is not one product in our catalogue. It is one model — filed as Jordan 3 Retro — holding thirty-two pairs we can name, and the differences between them are not colourways alone. Some are cut for adults, some for women, and three more grades sit underneath: grade school, pre-school and toddler. The colourway name changes with the grade, and so does the style code. The code is the field a shop listing and our catalogue agree on, which is why it is the one worth learning to read.
What we hold, and under what name
Every pair named on this page has either a shop behind it today or a dated entry in our release calendar. Nothing else is listed. Every one of them sits on the same model, so a listing that says Jordan 3 Retro is at least telling you the model correctly — it is everything after that word that varies.
- Adult pairs carry no marker at all. The name is the name, and the code is the one the shop shows.
- Women's pairs are marked (Women's), and in our catalogue they sit on their own prefixes rather than sharing the adult ones.
- Grade school, pre-school and toddler pairs are marked (GS), (PS) and (TD) in brackets at the end of the name.
- A collaboration is named at the front — Free The Youth, Levi's, Teyana Taylor — and the grade marker still sits at the back.
One colourway, four codes
Three colourways in our catalogue run the whole ladder. Take True Blue: the adult pair is IF4396-104, the grade-school pair is DM0967-104, the pre-school pair is DM0966-104 and the toddler pair is DM0968-104. The last three digits are identical in all four. What changes is the prefix, and the prefix is the grade. The same is true of World's Best Dad and of Family Affair, and the three together show the pattern clearly enough to use.

That is worth more than it looks. Once the three-digit tail is the colourway in your head, a listing for a pair you have never seen stops being a name you have to trust and becomes a code you can place: -104 is the True Blue run, -103 is World's Best Dad, -202 is Family Affair. And the prefixes hold across every run we list: DM0966 carries the pre-school pair, DM0967 the grade-school pair, DM0968 the toddler pair. A shop that writes Air Jordan 3 True Blue without a grade has told you less than the code on the box does, and the difference between a pre-school pair and a toddler pair is not one you want to discover at the doorstep.
The pairs a shop is listing today
The blocks below render today's offers, so nothing here needs a number written into it that would be wrong next week. What is worth describing is the shape of the list rather than its contents. The runs that reached deepest into the size ladder are the ones still around in the most grades: True Blue and World's Best Dad both survive as adult, grade-school, pre-school and toddler pairs, which means a household buying two sizes is often looking at the same colourway twice on two different codes, and comparing them properly takes both codes rather than both names.
The women's pairs work the other way round. Sports Renaissance, Orange Citrus, TEX Starfish, Concrete Rose and WNBA Desert Camo are all women's-only in our catalogue, on their own prefixes — CK9246, IH7694, IF3097, HM4301 — and none of them carries a grade-school or toddler sibling. If a pair matters to you in a women's size and in a child's, that is the shape to check first: some runs give you both and some give you one.
Each page names the shops that have that code and shows today's offers. The name on the tile is ours; the code under it is the one the shops use.
What is only a date so far
Nine pairs in this list have no shop listing yet. Each one has a date in our release calendar, and that date is the field the marketplaces publish — the same field our release pages print. Those dates move, so take them as the current plan rather than an announcement from anyone. A pair with a date and no listing is not a pair you can buy today, and we would rather show you the date and an honestly empty page than fill the space with something we cannot check. That page fills itself the moment a shop we check lists the pair.

Two things stand out from that table. The first is that the near dates are thin — one pair in October, one in November — and then the model goes quiet until February, followed by a run of six across the spring. The second is that the codes change as the dates move forward: IF4396, which carries two pairs a shop has today, is also the prefix on the November date, while the 2027 entries arrive on prefixes we hold no live pair under at all. Reading the prefix is how you tell which of the two a listing belongs to.
How to use this
- Search by the full style code, prefix and all. It is the only field the shops and our catalogue spell the same way.
- Read the prefix before the price: DM0966 is pre-school, DM0967 is grade school, DM0968 is toddler, and the CK9246 and IH7694 runs are women's.

- On a pair that has a date and no listing, waiting costs you nothing. A run several shops end up listing is the one worth comparing; a run only one shop ever lists is the one to take when you see it.
