The Jordan 3 Retro Not Nice carries style code IF4396-001. Its name adds a new colourway to Michael Jordan's third signature basketball shoe.
The model behind Not Nice
Tinker Hatfield designed the original Air Jordan 3, his first shoe in the Air Jordan series. It introduced visible Air cushioning to the line and put the Jumpman logo on the tongue.
Elephant-print panels became another signature of the original design, appearing around the toe and heel. Those details helped establish the Jordan 3's identity beyond the basketball court.
Jordan wore the model when he won the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest in Chicago. That season also brought his first NBA Most Valuable Player award and the Defensive Player of the Year award.
The Jordan 3 first returned as a retro in 1994, six years after its debut. The Retro line has since included both returning original colours and new combinations such as Not Nice.
