Western details on the shoe and packaging
The story behind the design links it to Michael Jordan’s interest in Western films. Fauna Brown, Dark Oak, Baroque Brown, Muslin and Gym Red make up the named palette, bringing together brown and off-white shades with red accents.
Western references run through the small details: the lace fastening has the look of a bolo tie, and the leather hangtag recalls an old saloon. Pony-hair-textured cages add another tactile element, while embossed lettering sits on the tongue.
The visible Air unit is painted over in the midsole, giving the off-white area below it a more solid appearance. Ostrich-inspired textures extend the theme to the insoles and the outside of the shoebox. A Western-themed postcard is also included with the pair.
