The Nike Book 2 “Be Legendary” uses a purple colourway to revisit a moment between Devin Booker and Kobe Bryant. Its style code is FZ7013-501, and the listed release date is 20 November 2026.
A message passed from Kobe to Booker
The story begins in 2016, when Booker faced Bryant during the latter’s final season. After their game, Bryant reportedly gave Booker a signed pair of Kobe 11s with “Be Legendary” written on the shoes.
Booker later brought the phrase onto the court through a Kobe 4 player-exclusive worn during the 2021 NBA Finals. A subsequent Book 1 player-exclusive carried the message into the model line bearing his name.
The Book 2 continues that sequence with a purple design. It makes the personal link to Bryant the key part of this colourway, rather than presenting “Be Legendary” as just a name.
Purple panels and black patent leather
The reported colour description is Bright Violet/Black-Wolf Grey. Lighter purple tumbled leather forms the lower panels, with darker ripstop used across the upper section.
A black patent-leather Swoosh sits on the purple upper. The laces, tongue and textured sockliner also bring purple into the design.
The heel pull tab reads “Chapter Two,” while Booker branding appears on the tongue. A grey speckled midsole and an icy translucent outsole complete the reported design details.
