Choose the chart that matches the labelled scale
Start with the size printed on the Nike label or the scale shown by the shop, then find that exact entry in the matching chart. If you know your EU size, read across to UK or US; if you know UK or US, find that value in its column and read back to EU.
Keep the chart category consistent while converting. The men's EU 42 row gives US 8.5, while the women's EU 42 row gives US 10; swapping charts changes the result even though the EU label stays the same.
Starting from US 8.5 shows why the chart category matters before you look for a boot. That label corresponds to EU 42 in the men's chart, but EU 40 in the women's chart; don't search by US alone.
Some UK entries need their full label. The men's chart lists EU 39 as UK 6 (39) and EU 40 as UK 6 (40), so the bracketed EU number distinguishes those entries; don't reduce either to an unqualified UK 6.
The chart gives numerical correspondence, not a fit recommendation. It does not say whether a Mercurial boot will feel tight or roomy, and it cannot tell you which size to choose if you are between sizes.
Half sizes and the large rows
Half sizes sit on their own rows. Men's EU 42 1/2 is UK 8 and US 9. Women's EU 42 1/2 is UK 8 and US 10.5. Don't round a half size onto the next whole EU number.
The men's chart also has EU 40 1/2 as UK 6.5 and US 7.5, and EU 45 1/2 as UK 10.5 and US 11.5. The women's chart maps EU 40 1/2 to UK 6.5 and US 9, and EU 45 1/2 to UK 10.5 and US 13.
Large men's rows continue past EU 50. EU 51 is UK 15.5 and US 16.5, while EU 51 1/2 is UK 16 and US 17. Those two rows are not in size order at the end of the chart, so match the full EU label rather than the next line.
Women's large sizes use a different set of labels. EU 50 is UK 14 and US 16.5. EU 52 is UK 16 and US 18.5, and EU 52 1/2 is UK 16.5 and US 19. Read the exact row.
